Concession Branch - Construction Updates
Due to a glass door installation for the new Makerspace area, Concession Branch will close at 1 pm on Thursday, September 3. It is expected to reopen to its regular hours with limited services on Friday, September 4. Stay tuned for continual updates.

Get ready for two unforgettable days of stories, creativity, and family fun at the 18th Annual Telling Tales Festival!
Meet Canada’s top children’s authors, illustrators, storytellers, and musicians, and enjoy 70+ presentations across five vibrant festival tents.
Don’t miss the featured headliners, Barbara Reid on Saturday and Danny Ramadan on Sunday, appearing on the Main Stage from 12:15 pm to 1 pm. Explore the gardens, create, dance, laugh, and discover something new around every corner.
On Saturday, October 3, all Telling Tales presentations on the Main Stage and Read Together, Early Reader, Preteen, and Young Adult Tents will include ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation. Join Team HPL for interactive STEAM fun, button making, bubbles and more. Storytimes will be offered both days at 10:50 am, 1:10 pm, and 2:25 pm. We look forward to seeing you.
